Decision on CAP budget ‘critical’

THE presidents of NFU Scotland and the Irish Farmers Association have called on their governments and MEPs to ensure the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) budget for the single farm payment and rural development programmes is secured for the next financial term.

At the meeting both organisations agreed CAP budget decisions must be concluded as soon as possible to allow discussions on the package to progress.
