Colleges merger to go before parliament

THE public consultation into the merger of Scotland’s four leading land-based colleges, Barony, Elmwood, Oatridge and the Scottish Agricultural College (SAC), has closed.

The consultation looked at how the increasing demands of the land-based sector could be met by a new further and higher education institute which combines their strengths and expertise. It received more than 300 responses.
