600 store cattle at market

STILL we await the heat. Where is it? Things have stopped growing but, thankfully, we are missing the torments of rain kindly drenching our southern neighbours.
Trade for all classes of stock remains steady, although not as slow as last week (see reports).
This week sees a special sale of 600 store cattle, with trade expected to be brisk.
Ewes and lambs come forward in decent numbers, although the lack of grass has steadied trade in the last few weeks.
We shall be conducting a summer sale of plant and machinery on Monday, June 18, for which entries are invited.
We shall also be taking a stand to Scotsheep at Dumfries House, Cumnock on Wednesday, June 6. Please come and see us if you aren’t too merry from royal celebrations.
