Cumbrian law firm expanding

A Penrith law firm is looking to expand and hire at least two new lawyers.
Strutt and Co, at North Lakes Business Park, was founded two years ago by Christopher Strutt, who specialises in corporate and employment law.
His firm advises business clients and is looking to develop new clients.
“We want to build longstanding relationships with our clients and be part of their team,” he said.
“Modern solicitors are not all the same and, in business, it’s always important to take legal advice from the correct legal specialist.”
He said they recently appointed employment lawyer Victoria Ferguson and had launched an Employer Protection Scheme, to provide businesses with all legal advice for a fixed cost.
Mr Strutt said they currently have three lawyers and three employed as consultants.
“Ideally, we would like to recruit people with Cumbrian origins who have worked away, perhaps with national law firms, and have come back to their roots,” he said. “They have got that wealth of experience and local links.”
