Warm welcome from toddlers and mums

A SEA of purple and white balloons and decorations greeted Cornet Andrew Elliot and his right and left-hand men Lee Earsman and Graeme Murray when they dropped in at the mothers and toddlers’ party in the cricket pavilion.

The children were very excited to meet them and proudly showed off the rosettes and ties they had made. They also entertained the principals with a number of songs they had learned.

Also present at the party were Andrew’s mother, Ann, and grandmother Jean Young. Everyone enjoyed drinks and cake with purple icing.

Andrew and Ann judged the competition and awarded the prize for the best tie to Lennon Kingstree and for the best rosette to Katie Caldicott.
