Riders on foot for fundraising

LANGHOLM young riders’ club held its annual sponsored walk to the monument and back last Sunday morning and raised more than £1,400 for their funds.

The walk was led by the newly-elected Cornet Andrew Elliot, along with right-hand man Lee Earsman and left-hand man Graeme Murray.
On returning from the walk, the youngsters were treated to ice-creams at Pelosi’s.
There are about 65 members in the club and money is needed on a continuing basis to pay for riding lessons and other expenses.
