THE Langholm 2012 Cornet Andrew Elliot will long be remembered for his excellent horsemanship and beaming smile as he savoured every moment of his big day carrying the town’s standard.

Andrew showed his skills in the saddle during a heart-stopping moment of high drama when, during the closing ceremony, his horse suddenly reared up in front of the crowd and nearly toppled over.
