Day of remembrance before festivities begin

THE Kirkin of the Cornet service, which was conducted by the Rev Scott McCarthy, was held in Langholm parish church last Sunday.
A large congregation was present and the organist was Muriel Askew. Before the service Mr McCarthy was joined by Cornet Andrew Elliot and his right and left-hand men Lee Earsman and Graeme Murray, along with the Common Riding committee, in Buccleuch Park.
