The time honoured ceremony took place once again onFriday under circumstances of a most favourable nature, the weather throughout the entire day being all that could be desired.
For practically a month beforehand weather conditions were really atrocious and even the nicht afore the morn – the Simmer Fair Day – was more like Hogmanay Day.
