Egremont hammered Castleford Panthers 66-6 at Gillfoot Park in their National Conference League One game.
It was a personal triumph for the mercurial John Paul Brocklebank who grabbed 42 of the points himself from five tries and 11 goals.
Egremont were first to score with returning BARLA tourist Clayton Sutton being put over by Brocklebank, who added the extras for an early 6-0 lead.
The Panthers responded with some strong drives and some Egremont indiscipline allowed the visitors to score the simplest of tries by the posts to draw level.
On 15 minutes Egremont restored their lead with strong-running prop Richard Farrer crossing, Brocklebank to add the extras.
It was all Egremont now and a short pass from Brocklebank sent Matt Bewsher away and he crossed untouched under the posts for another converted try.
On the half hour the hosts were over again when a slipped pass from dummy half put Brocklebank over.
The rest of the game became the Rhys Davies / John Paul Brocklebank show, which started two minutes before the break. Davies side-stepped his way over from dummy half to give Egremont a 30-6 advantage at the break.
Five minutes after the re-start quick handling by the backs put Brocklebank over again. Then on 47 minutes a scintillating break from Davies put Brocklebank away to score again.
Quick hands across the line on 50 minutes and two fantastic sidesteps by Davies allowed him to score again and extend the lead to 48-6.
Sutton joined in the fun when he set off from his own 20, knocking defenders out of the way before feeding Davies who ran the last 25 metres to score and take Egremont beyond the half century.
On 70 minutes came the play of the game. A good kick through from the Panthers was picked up on his own line by International full back Davies. He left four defenders for dead and set off on a 75-yard run, and then with the cover coming across he found the supporting Brocklebank with a deft pass. He finished off with the touchdown.
The game ended soon after a simple run around allowed Brocklebank to cross.
The whole Egremont team played well as a whole but pick of the players were Davies and halves James McDonald and Peter Murphy, with the star of the show Brocklebank.
