Having recently been ill in the Cumberland Infirmary followed by more than a month in the Thomas Hope Hospital to recuperate, I could not speak more highly of our town's hospital.
With Sharon Valance in charge of a first-class group of nurses, they carry out a difficult job with dedicated patience. The cooks serve excellent food and the handyman and cleaners all play their part in making patients happy.
The physiotherapists, who attend regularly, are a godsend in helping your recovery and the occupational therapists can soon sort out any problems for your return home.
I never realised what such an asset the Thomas Hope was until having been in for a spell and I hope it will remain in the community for years to come.
